1872 was an eventful year of international importance. The Spanish writer Pío Baroja was born in San Sebastián; General José Sanjurjo was born in Pamplona; likewise the philosopher and mathematician Bertrand Russell in Great Britain and in Haro, the Gurpegui surname began its trajectory in the Spanish wine-growing scene.
